The Center for Student Development and Leadership (CSDL) entered a partnership with Jollibee Foundation.

Launched on Aug. 17 in Barangay Salapingao and Lomboy, and on Aug. 23 in Pantal District, the outreach activity called “Lusog, Busog, Talino (BLT) program” provides for the meals of 40 grade one pupils in each beneficiary school. This year, Lomboy Elementary School, Salapingao Elementary School and Pantal Elementary School benefit from the program.

CSDL, on the other hand, conducts a separate feeding program in Calmay Elementary School.

According to CSDL Director Adele Traspe, the university believes that proper nutrition and a full stomach help pupils muster enough concentration on their studies.

CSDL and Jollibee Foundation also work with the barangay council and the Parents-Teacher Association (PTA) in each barangay. Little by little, the feeding program will be passed on to the leadership of the barangay council and the PTA.
